Competitive Grants Program
In keeping with our core mission: “Driven by science – focused on life”, Nuvation Bio is committed to supporting innovative, high quality, objective, scientifically accurate and fair-balanced independent medical education (IME) initiatives through unrestricted educational grants. We support continuing professional development (CPD) of healthcare professionals (HCPs) to develop knowledge and skills that will drive improvements in patient care.
IME is education for HCPs provided by an independent educational provider to close knowledge, competence, performance and quality gaps among HCPs, helping to improve patient outcomes.
Eligible grant applicants may include, but are not limited to, academic institutions, medical universities, community health centers, hospitals, medical societies, professional associations, quality organizations, or medical education companies. We accept unsolicited grant applications based on our areas of interest.
Current areas of interest include:
ROS1+ advanced NSCLC
IDH1-mutant glioma
Grant applications undergo a formal review process, where proposals are evaluated based on educational need, design, scientific rigor and compliance with both industry regulations and Nuvation Bio policy. All submitted grant proposals will be reviewed; however, Nuvation Bio clinical interests will be prioritized. The approval of a grant application is competitive in nature, and the final decision is made by the Nuvation Bio grant review committee.
Nuvation Bio will have no influence over the educational content, design, format, learning objectives, faculty, or the assessment of educational effectiveness of IME grants. Grants cannot include any tangible benefits to Nuvation Bio beyond an acknowledgement that Nuvation Bio supported the IME.
The use of Nuvation Bio grant funds may not be used to defray or pay the cost of any food or beverage, meals, travel, or accommodations that are made available to speakers or program attendees.
All IME grants must comply with and adhere to the Standards for Integrity and Independence of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the principles established by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) Compliance Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, and Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) Code on Interactions with Medical Professionals.
